After breakfast, departure for a guided sightseeing tour of Colombo, including a visit to the famous shopping malls. Colombo is the commercial capital and the largest city of Sri Lanka. It is the financial centre of the island and a popular tourist destination. Being the commercial capital, Colombo has a growing nightlife with a selection of bars and pubs offering a much welcomed diversion of places to unwind. After breakfast, check out from the hotel and departure to Dambulla, passing by the Pinnawala elephant orphanage. A visit to the orphanage which was established in 1975 and commenced with seven orphans. The original objective of establishing the orphanage inclined more towards tourism and became an educational center. With the help of local and foreign elephant experts, Pinnawela started a scientific captive-breeding program for elephants. The nearby river played a dominant role in this regard and in 1984 the first baby of Pinnawala was born. After a short period of free time for the lunch, proceed to Dambulla which is a large town, situated in the Matale District, Central Province of Sri Lanka. Sightseeing tour of Dambulla. After breakfast, check out from the hotel and departure to Kandy with a stopover in Sigiriya to climb the Sigiriya rock fortress which had been designated as a Unesco World Heritage site in 1982. It stands high above the surrounding plain, visible for kilometers in all directions. The rock itself rises 370 meters above the sea level. Among the most important features of Sigiriya are the very well known the Frescos. Departure to Matale. Free time for lunch then proceed to visit to the spice garden in Matale city to see the different spices which Sri Lanka is famous for. After breakfast, departure for a full day sightseeing tour including a visit to then royal botanical gardens of Peradeniya which is considered to be one of the most beautiful botanical gardens in Asia. It includes more than 300 varieties of orchids, spices, medical plants and palm trees. Proceed to visit a gem lapidary & the Temple of the Tooth Relic in Kandy which is the most venerated object of worship for Buddhists. The sacred Temple is considered to be the foremost sacred place of worship in the Buddhist world. Continue to Nuwara Eliya, the most popular hill resort in Sri Lanka. The city is surrounded by hills and tea plantations and is overlooked by Pidurutalagala, the highest mountain in Sri Lanka (2524 m). Nuwara Eliya is also the heart of Sri Lanka’s tea country producing a significant share of the world best tea. After breakfast, check out from the hotel and departure to Bentota. En route, stopover in Kitulgala, a small town in the west of Sri Lanka. Free time for lunch, then proceed to the town of Bentota. The place is a fabulous rural area where most of the land is well shaded and sheltered by lush tall trees with coconut palm trees dominating the landscape; It is well known for its swaying coconut palms, green vegetation, clear blue sea and golden sandy beaches altogether providing tourists with an atmosphere of utmost relaxation.
